Synopsis

First Past The Post is a game where the player trains horses and participates in races. The player can have up to sixteen horses in their stable and earn money by winning races, betting on their horses' performance, or buying and selling horses. Each race event consists of 1-mile, 2-mile, and 3-mile races, and the player can enter one or two horses. Before each race, the player can bet on any horse, not just their own. At the end of the event, trainer statistics are displayed, and the player has the opportunity to buy and sell horses to improve their stable. The game features various race tracks, races of different lengths, varying track conditions, and customizable horse weights. The player competes against other trainers, and a save function allows the game to be continued later.
