Synopsis
A musical treat and graphical hell, Hard Rock Cab could be considered a cross between Doom and Crazy Taxi, thanks to its combination of picking up fares and first-person perspective combat.
Originally released on the PC, Hard Rock Cab places you in the role of former family man Drake Edgewater, whose primary goal is to escape the prison city Kemo in his heavily armed, modified '52 Hovercab.
Visually, Hard Rock Cabis an eyesore with plenty of clipping, pixelation and collision detection issues, but the variety of mission objectives, array of available weapons and upgrades, and rocking indie soundtrack help save this Model T from the junkyard.
This game is known in PC & 3DO as Quarantine.
