Description

A hunchback atop a wall, is under siege by a man in armour climbing up a ladder. He, can fight with a rock from a pile, hurling down at the intruder. But another and another are set up. Yet as soon, all is quiet once more, your companion an endlessly-flapping bat, who kills you should he absentmindedly drift into your path. The game shifts gears here, the joystick's action button to jumping. No other humans while you scurry up ladders and swing yourself across ropes dangling from massive ceiling-mounted bells, all in pursuit of gleaming gems to deposit in basement altars. Every time you do so another area of the game will be opened up, and you get to undertake the grand circuit once more, again fending off the ladder-climbers, swinging across the same pits, dodging the same bats. At the very pinnacle of your medieval structure you will have to climb a sheer wall face while dodging arrows shot by archers in the window and boulders rolled down from the parapets. And then the gem is got, and back down again, and so forth and so on; the cycle turns on. An endless labour...
