Synopsis

The player searches a large dungeon to try to bring the Grail to the surface. The dungeon is divided into multiple levels on a 10 x 10 grid. Each turn the player can move to a different location, and can use their lamp to identify what is in the directions before moving. The player has limited food and drink which are used by movement.

The player also has limited strength, stamina, intelligence, and dexterity which can be lost in combat or other negative events. The player can gather gold coins and precious stones to use at the travelling trader.

Events include encountering treasure chests, food, elixirs, combat items, or encountering a monster. When in combat, the player takes turns shooting arrows, magic arrows, or other combat items which can be picked up. Flares can be used in combat to identify monsters. The player can also bribe a monster or try to run from combat. There are over 1,500 locations to explore.
