Synopsis
The twelveth installment in the series forgoes the Atomiswave hardware to Taito's Type X2. It is also planned to be the first overhaul to the series since The King of Fighters '96. Every character's old sprite will be dropped and replace with fully redrawn high definition sprites. The game will also returns to it's traditional team based gameplay rather than the previous KOFs tag team.
